Every place changes twice.
Once when the change happens, and again when people stop remembering what was there before.
Local Record is an Atropos Institute community-archive programme supporting independent contributors who document neighbourhoods, infrastructure, public spaces and everyday local life.
Contributors write in their own voice. Atropos provides archival hosting, photograph storage, location and subject tagging, offline draft saving and delayed synchronisation for periods when normal connectivity is unreliable.
Local Record is not a news service and contributors are not Atropos employees. The archive is intended to preserve local observation that might otherwise disappear.
