Graham is here.
He arrived with a torch, half a loaf, chocolate digestives and a camping stove he claims he bought for fishing. I have known him for years and have never once heard him mention fishing.
The television still works. It keeps repeating that there has been a serious incident at the airport and that people should stay inside. Nobody is saying what the incident actually is.
Calls mostly fail now.
Graham wanted to check on a couple of people further down the road. I talked him out of it for the moment. We filled some bottles and pans with water instead.
The Atropos page took nearly five minutes to save this. It now says:
Sync delayed. Draft retained on device.
Never seen that before, but everything else is struggling too.
There was shouting somewhere towards the end of the road about ten minutes ago. It stopped very suddenly.
We're staying put.
