Birmingham Airport is closed. That much appears to be real. Beyond that, please be careful with rumours.
John in Sheldon got a clean post out at 10:43. Since then his messages have been delayed or have not arrived at all. Adam says mobile data is dropping in and out across north Birmingham and several bus routes have simply stopped appearing on the live boards. Martin says Worcestershire itself is quiet, but traffic information is unreliable and people coming in from the east are reporting closures and diversions around the motorway network.
Here in Coventry, calls are connecting and then dying. There have been more emergency vehicles heading west than I can remember seeing on an ordinary weekday, and several people have said their maps are routing them away from roads that are still physically open.
This may all still be one Birmingham incident causing knock-on problems. It may not.
If you are posting from elsewhere, put your location and local time at the top. Say what you actually saw, not what somebody forwarded to you. If a service is down, say which one. If it comes back, update the post rather than starting another rumour.
